Frequently Asked Questions

Laptops are available to any student who has returned their SIGNED Student Device Letter of Agreement and does not have any outstanding fines for previous laptop damage or loss.

Students will get their Chromebooks during the first days of school, pending paperwork completion and submission. 

1. Students and Parent/Guardians read and sign paper work.
2. Submit paperwork & get device from the library staff.

The only cost associated with using a D11 devices will be fines associated with willful damage to or loss of the device. 

Students will NOT recieve the same device from year to year. 

A damaged device will be repaired at the expense of the student. Once the fee is paid, students will receive a loaner device to use until their assigned device is returned and usable. If the device is lost, the cost of a replacement will be due. If the device is stolen, a police report will need to be filed and next steps may vary, but it is important to know that every student is responsible for keeping their device safe and is ultimately accountable for the expense of replacing it.

Students are expected to check-in their devices at the end of each school year for annual maintenance.

If students change schools or districts, they will need to return the laptop as part of the check-out procedure.

Students will not receive a case.

Yes. Teachers will vary in their technology requirements, but it is still the expectation that all students with devices will have them charged and ready to use daily in each class.

If there is a question or any issue with your device, please come to the library somebody will assist.

Students may still print in the library, but they will need to work with library staff to have a library printer installed if needed.

Printing from home should be available. Because personal printers vary, it will be the responsibility of the student and their family to determine the appropriate way to install their home printer.
